Chamber Business Expo

CHAMBER NOTES
BY PHIL ROGERS, PRESIDENT

Well it is that time of year again. The business expo and car show will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, at the C.L. Nix Gymnasium at Whitehouse Junior High School.

Booths are free to chamber members and really allow face to face contact with the consumer. Booth spaces usually go very quickly so sign up as soon as possible. Anyone interested should go to our Web site or contact Clint Ray (903) 539 8333. The car show will be in the parking lot and is a great addition to the expo. There is no registration for the car show so shine it up and come on.

There will be a car show Thursday, April 4, in front of Tire Worx, Mamaws Fried Pies, Kay Taylor Insurance and ABC Auto. This is going to be our new location for the car show. We are going to add a burn out competition at Tire Worx. Tire Worx is also going to remain open and assist with tire changes hopefully lots of them. Mamaws Fried Pies will also be open if anyone wants some great food while admiring all the beautiful cars. And ABC Auto will assist with anything that pops up or just pops.

We are already organizing Lakefest for May 25, and lots of activities are in the works. Cardboard boat race, barbecue cook-off, bands, helicopter, washer tournament, dog races, margarita contest, car show, venders and the list keeps growing. Anyone interested, contact Phil Rogers (903) 752 7169.

Well gotta go... late for my Tae bo class NOT!
