Christmas in the Country
Troup, Texas is getting in the Christmas. Holiday in the Country is set for Monday, Nov. 13, 5-9 p.m. Christmas spirit and carols fill the air in downtown Troup as shoppers stroll from shop to shop enjoying goodies and experiencing shopping without the hustle and bustle of the big city.

Tyler Aggie Moms
The Tyler Aggie Moms and Grub Burger (5421 South Broadway, Tyler) will host a Grub Gives Back event Thursday, Nov. 16. Mention Tyler Aggie Moms when you place your order at the Grub Burger for a portion of your ticket to be donated to the scholarship fund for the Tyler Aggie Moms. Republic Services in Whitehouse picks up recycling on Wednesday. Recyclable items include paper, newspaper, cardboard, plastic, aluminum cans and tin cans.
Troup has a self-service recycling receptacle. The Allied Waste Recycling bin is located at the corner of W. Bradford and N. Georgia.
Jam session and sing along
Jam session and sing along runs from 1:30 to 4 p.m. each Friday. Everyone is welcome to attend and participate. Acoustic instruments only. Music includes Country, Bluegrass and Gospel. TASCA members are free. Guests are $1 each. TASCA is located at 10495 CR 2167 (Jim Russell Rd), in Whitehouse.
