“All good things must come to an end” or so the saying goes. With my introduction to this paper not being so long ago (less than a year), that phrase isn’t one I thought I would be applying to this column quite so soon.
Though at times I may not have been exactly certain on what topic I should write, I have enjoyed penning this feature.
Of course, I’ll leave it up to you, the readers, whether the column itself or its ending is good.
The fact of the matter is this: the publisher of the Bullard Banner News and the Tri County Leader has decided to merge the two papers into a single publication. (See related article on the front page.)
With the Bullard Banner News being folded into and printed under the single masthead, Tri County Leader, the need for increased news space will result in the elimination of all the opinion columns, this one included.
To those who have followed and read this column, “Thank you.”
I would also like to personally and publicly thank Liz Reeves for her timely submissions week after week. She served this publication for over six years and her time and talent are appreciated.
I am also grateful to Don Newbury for allowing us to be one of many publications to print his piece.
I know that change isn’t always easy, but I hope the readers of both the Bullard Banner News and the Tri County Leader will allow us the opportunity to prove the news that is important to you is still important to us.
