Students attending Bullard Independent School District schools during the 2017-2018 school year will hear the familiar sounds of campus bells ringing in just 21 short days, as the district recently released its official school calendar for next school year.
“We’re really excited about the upcoming school year at Bullard ISD,” said Todd Schneider, Bullard ISD Superintendent. “Looking back on this school year, we can see how many outstanding performances and achievements our students and staff have accomplished. As the only school district in East Texas selected by the Texas Education Agency to be a pilot for the Local Accountability Program, we see how BISD continues to shine brighter and brighter as an educational ‘Lighthouse’ in East Texas.”
According to Schneider, a new theme will be implemented across Bullard ISD in the 2018-2019 and the 2019-2020 school years, entitled “Capturing Kids’ Hearts”
“We are blessed to have the support of our community that has helped us provide a district wide theme over the next two years that will support us in creating a culture of ‘Capturing Kids Hearts,’” said Schneider. “ A strong focus on supporting students where they are at and preparing them for whatever is next will be a common thread throughout BISD. We are also excited to see what the new campus principals, Amanda Goode (Bullard Early Childhood) and Kevin Blain (Bullard High School), will bring as leaders to their campuses. It’s an exciting time to be a part of what is going on in Bullard ISD.”
