Bullard Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast planned for May 3

Members of the Bullard community will come together in the spirit of prayer and togetherness at the upcoming annual Bullard Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast, to be held 6:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at The Brook Hill School, located at 1051 N. Houston St., in Bullard.

The Bullard Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast is hosted annually by the City of Bullard and the Bullard Ministerial Alliance.

“The Bullard Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast is just a great way to start our day off,” said Pam Frederick, mayor of Bullard. “We come together as a community and pray for our nation at every level, from our school students, government leaders, and our soldiers. It’s a great way to come together with other believers and express our faith together.”

This year’s event will be the 12th annual Bullard Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast for the City of Bullard. As in years past, the annual Bullard Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast is a free event to all who attend.

According to the City of Bullard, the crowd for this year’s prayer breakfast is estimated to be approximately 150 attendees. The 2016 Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast event drew the attendance of more than 140 Bullard citizens.

The Bullard Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will coincide with the 67th annual National Day of Prayer event. The theme for the event will be the National Day of Prayer’s theme: “Unity: Pray for America.” The event will use the verse of Ephesians 4:3 as its text – “Making every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Local pastors and ministers representing the Bullard Ministerial Alliance will participate by praying over different areas, including government, church, military, family, education, media, and businesses.

Attendees to the annual Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast will be treated to a breakfast catered by Sadler’s in Jacksonville. Additionally, representatives from Hospitality ER will be on hand with a coffee bar.

Current sponsors for the event include Austin Bank, Bullard Rotary Club, Capco Construction, Capco Engineering, Centerpoint Energy, Cherokee County Electric, Eagle Home Loans, Heritage Land Bank, Pronet Solutions, Republic Services, Southside Bank, Tom McDonald State Farm, Texas National Bank, and WRL General Contractors.
