Lady Panthers tie with Lindale, fall to Hudson in soccer matchups

The Bullard Lady Panther varsity soccer team resumed action in pre-district play last week, as the team traveled to take on the Lindale Lady Eagles Tuesday, Jan. 30, at Lindale High School.

The bout between Bullard and Lindale proved to be evenly matched up, as both teams were able to put the ball past the goalkeepers in the contest, resulting in the Lady Panthers and Lady Eagles tying the ball game, 1-1.

For Bullard, the lone goal of the contest was kicked into the net by senior Kailey Consford.

Bullard Lady Panthers 0, Hudson Lady Hornets 1, FINAL

Continuing their schedule last week, the Bullard Lady Panther varsity soccer team returned home to the friendly confines of Bullard’s Panther Stadium for a matchup against the Hudson Lady Hornets Friday, Feb. 2.

The visiting Lady Hornets were able to sting the Lady Panthers early with a goal in the first half of play. Despite their best efforts and moving the ball down field well, the Lady Panthers were unable to make up the score in the second half of play, as the Lady Hornets claimed the win over the Lady Panthers, 1-0.

With a record of 0-1-1 last week, the Bullard Lady Panther varsity soccer team currently stands with an overall record of 5-5-3 on the 2018 regular season.

Next week: Tuesday, Feb. 6 – Bullard at Carthage; Friday, Feb. 9 – Tyler Lee at Bullard.
